"To know that you do not know and do not understand is true knowledge, the knowledge of an humble heart"

- Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj - Indian spiritual teacher and philosopher

Sharda ten Hove

Founder, Ethical Vegan, Yogi, Social Activist

Sharda was born and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Descended from an Indian mother and Dutch father, she received a multi-cultural upbringing during which she gained a broad perspective on life. During her pregnancy of her first son at the age of 23, she developed a keen interest in an ayurvedic lifestyle, spirituality and meditation. From a young age, Sharda always felt compelled to participate in creating a better world. She became a vegetarian at the age of 10 and converted to a vegan lifestyle 2 years ago. She has always felt an inner calling to share the message of reuniting with ones own inner light and it took her years to discover how to transcend this which gradually developed over time. She completed an Ayurvedic Nutrition and Lifestyle training as well as several Yoga teacher trainings and from 2011 she started to share the practice of Yoga. For Sharda, Yoga is a tool to tune into a peaceful place which we all carry within. She clearly understands that when it comes to working toward a sustainable world for all, it starts with the individual and when many individuals join, great things can be accomplished! Her message is clear: a better world starts within and she hopes to provide tools to support individuals on their inner journey. Her mission is to help spread awareness about the consumer industry and to motivate people to change their behavior and so help create a better world for all. Sharda currently lives in London, UK together with her partner, her eldest son, twin boys and dog where she offers yoga as well as vegan nutrition and lifestyle coaching.
