Loving one, eating the other

In her TED talk, psychologist Melanie Joy, explores the reasons why we are disgusted by the thought of eating golden retriever, but happily enjoy beef, pork and chicken.

This video holds a mirror for us to help break through the patterns of make belief. Most of us think that “because everyone is doing it, it must be alright”.
Yet it is when we start to ask questions and seek for answers when something starts to shift and that is the only way out of our own inner suffering and to help put an end to the suffering of billions of animals raised, tortured and killed for human consumption.
