Yogagarden is a yoga studio located in a cozy area in the midst of Amsterdam, the Jordaan. The studio has a serene ambience and the teachers are all highly qualified and offer a wide variety of different styles of yoga for all levels.
The yoga styles at Yogagarden are: Ashtanga yoga, Hatha yoga, Dynamic Hatha yoga, Restorative yoga, Anusara yoga, Free Style Vinyasa yoga, Kundalini yoga, Centered yoga and Yin yoga.
Besides yoga classes Yogagarden offers teacher trainings, workshops and courses as well as retreats.
Even though Yogagarden is one of the most popular yoga studios in Amsterdam and classes fill up quickly, the ambience is peaceful and the teachers take time for their students.
Our favorite teachers at Yogagarden are Johan Noorloos and Anat Geiger. Johan teaches Astangha and Vinyasa. His flow is dynamic, challenging and very rejuvenating! Johan teaches in Dutch but you can follow his flow without understanding the words. There are almost always English speaking people in his class.
His combination of a vigorous class and Buddhist approach make his classes very inspirational.
Anat teaches Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin. Her classes are challenging, creative and inspirational. Her flow is like a dance and her deep knowledge of anatomy and the energetic body (meridians, chakras) make her classes interesting and illuminating. Anat teaches in English.
