Yoga Stops Traffick is an annual global yoga event aimed to raise awareness and funds to help stop Human Trafficking in India. Over the past 20 years Odanadi, the organization that combats Human Trafficking have helped over 1850 women and children and brought 137 traffickers to justice. The event was held for the first time in 2010 in Mysore, India. Through the common language of yoga, 3,000 people around the world rolled out their mats in homes, beaches and mountaintops on the same day, in support of Odanadi’s work. And so from the home of Ashtanga in Mysore, a worldwide event was born. This year Diaforlife is organizing a YST event for Odanadi in London.
The YST event this year will be held at The House of Yoga in Putney, London.
There is place for 30 people to participate in 108 Sun Salutations.
The same weekend there will be held Sun Salutations classes as well as other donation classes world wide all to participate in helping to raise awareness and funds for Odanadi.
Even though 108 Sun Salutations might seem a lot, the event is open to all levels since it is not about completing the sun salutations but meant for a group of individuals to come together and show their support.
The salutations will be guided by a group of great Yoga instructors from London and there will be a DJ to accompany the Salutations with uplifting music.
You will feel rejuvenated afterwards and by doing something so uplifting for yourself you are also helping someone else.
Bring your family and friends and help make this a memorable day for yourself and for the victims of Human Trafficking.
